We had a lovely stay. Our Taro suite was very spacious and the AC worked great. There was a small fridge and coffee pot which is all we needed. There was a microwave in the common area which was helpful. Location was in the middle of town near lots of shops and restaurants. It is an older place, which we didn't mind. It was clean and the checking in after hours was super easy. She just left our keys in a lock box. It was quiet, we never heard any of the other guests ( except the roosters) but they are literally EVERYWHERE on Kauai. This was a great stay for the price if you are wanting to explore the canyon. I would stay again.

Thank you Historical Inn Waimea. Thank you Carol, for checking us in so kindly. Thank you to the wonderful woman I said goodbye to in the morning. I think her name was Pearl. She taught me, A Hui Ho. So much love and respect for 'Āina. The Inn was a very special place on my journey. Felt like my own home. A 2 minute walk to the beach. The white picket fence, the yellow paint. So clean, my bare feet were so comfortable. The trees outside graced me with Plumeria's. Under the moon, the toads jumped with me in the grass. The special room, Taro Room, downstairs was very nice. Big comfortable bed, walk in shower, historical tile, small AC unit, T.V. In dresser, accompanied by lovely coffee, coffee maker, a dinner set for two, bowls, cups, spoons, forks and knives. Medium sized fridge, in room. Microwave in common area living room. Lotion was donated for my sunburn. Aloha, Ohana Love Scarlet Dawn, from LA.

We really enjoyed this place. Our room was lovely and had a couple fans and AC. Quiet and clean. We loved the old character of the historic home. There’s a big porch with comfy chairs. The beach is half a block away and was beautiful for walking, although the water there was turbid and I didn’t see anyone swimming there. There’s also an excellent smoothie spot a few minutes walk away.

I stayed five nights in April 2023, and just loved the feel of the old Inn, and the experience of living with local Hawaiians. The location close to Big Save and small shops and restaurants was good and of course the ocean and pier were so close. I felt like an islander. The Bamboo Suite was great. Guests were friendly and Carol was lovely and efficient. Hope to return for the sunsets. Wendy (Vancouver Island, Canada)

Excellent place to stay and enjoy west Kauai. We were in the Hibiscus room, which was great for our stay. The AC in the bedroom definitely kept us comfortable at night, and we used the beach chairs to take in the sunset at Polihale Beach (which I highly recommend if you have 4 wheel drive). There are also several markets and restaurants nearby for everything else you need. Check in was easy and the staff was definitely eager to help. I would absolutely stay here again!

We stayed here for a night on our roadtrip. The suite we stayed in was spacious and clean. The check in and check out process was not very smooth though. We had to walk a few blocks to find the main office to get the keys to the inn.Other than that, This place is a comfortable stay near the Waimea Canyon and the dock for boat tours to the Napali Coast.

Nice historic inn at the west end of Kauai, right at the entrance of Waimea canyon. We had the room nr 2 downstairs with historic charm, fridge, AC, and super large shower. Thanks for the happy experience!

We loved this place! It was simple, quaint, and comfortable in a great location — one block from the beach in one direction and one block from the main drag (restaurants and grocery stores) in the other. Bed was nice, fridge and other furniture sufficient, parking ample, with a nice porch, too. Bamboo room is one half of the second floor, with lots of windows. Would definitely stay here again!
